Experience the best of both worlds at Monte Binga, Zimbabwe
When they talk about the best of both worlds, Monte Binga is worth a mention, Monte Binga is the highest mountain in Mozambique and the second highest in Zimbabwe, it is in the Chimanimani mountains on the border between Zimbabwe and Mozambique. This is the ideal destination for hiking and enjoying the scenic views of both worlds, you literally get two for the price of one!
The mountain allows for the most exhilarating hiking
experiences as it ranked one of the highest mountains so prepare yourself to
climb your heart out and don’t forget to carry some water and a few snacks to nibble
on as this climb will take the best part of your day. The best path when hiking
is the one marked with cairns, and this will make your navigation easier as
compared to randomly climbing up the mountain. It is believed that with aid of
a telescope you can peek into the Indian ocean, given that you have climbed
high enough specifically at the peak of Binga and of course on clear days, it’s
a feast for the eyes.
The mountain however has little to no water as you approach
the left but there are a few tiny puddles of water which strangely add to the
decoration of this beautiful mountain. One thing is for sure, this place is
worth touring as it provides not only beautiful scenery but the adrenaline
spike that we all need.
