Often the local transport or bus services save a whole
lot of your travel expenses compared to taxis. You do not want to be scammed by
a driver who uses a longer route just to charge you more especially visiting a
new place.

Be a sociable person and make new connections. Know
local people, speak to them, and let yourself be welcomed to their places to
have a meal with them or even spend the night in the places of local people. In
some shops, you might even be charged way less than the prices they charge to
tourists and be treated like a local.
