Lets Meet The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority
(ZTA) is the corporate body responsible for tourism promotion, planning, research and development and enforcement of tourism standards in Zimbabwe.
The body operates under the Tourism Act of Zimbabwe (Chapter 14:20) of 1996. With a mandate to market Zimbabwe as an ideal tourist destination. In addition, the ZTA is also involved in networking with both locals and foreign governments in its quest to market Zimbabwe’s tourism sector. Locally, ZTA also works in harmony with local hospitality industry giants such as the Rainbow Tourism Group.
ZTA is one of the vibrant parastatals in Zimbabwe which organizes some of the most popular festivities in the country. Harare International Carnival, The Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) and the Sanganai/ Hlanganani Travel Expo are all under ZTA’s belt.
