"Mosi-oa-Tunga"- A place to start or end of any African Safari journey
Mosi-oa-Tunya is one of the seven world wonders of nature.
The place is renowned for offering a wide variety of adventurous activities, and there are numerous safari opportunities available to visitors to Zimbabwe.
Victoria Falls can be accessed from either Zimbabwe or Zambia; the towns are called Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and Livingstone on the Zambian side, respectively.
Each has a busy international airport, solid infrastructure, and a wide selection of hotels and lodges. The bridge over the Zambezi River joins Zambia and Zimbabwe just downstream of the falls.
Historically, Zimbabwe has been regarded as the best country to observe Victoria Falls because 75% of the falls are located on Zimbabwean soil.
The major national park in Zimbabwe offers a stroll around the falls with 16 distinct vantage points so you can see them from all directions.
On the other hand, Zambia can only see 25% of the Eastern Cataract Falls, and also, on the Zimbabwean side of the falls, this part is still visible.
The Zimbabwean side of the falls never dries up, no matter what time of year it is. The main sections of the waterfalls and the Devil's Cataract will still have a spectacular flow of water even during the driest part of the year, between October and November. On the other hand, in Zambia, the Zambian section of the falls totally dries up during the height of the dry season, offering visitors only a view of the cliffs' rock faces.
The best time to visit Victoria Falls is between the months of February and May, just following the summer rains, when you may witness the biggest sheet of falling water in the world flowing at its most intense rate.
