Sun-safety tips for outgoers

While warm temperatures are ideal for outdoor activities , it is of essential importance that travelers are aware that exposure to high outdoor  temperatures may be harmful to one’s health.

Excessive exposure to heat provides a great treat to infants, young children, and older travelers and as such great care must be taken not avoid instances that the worst happens. Below are some heat related tips that we suggest you address before leaving with your loved ones for any outdoor activities this summer.

  • Always drink a significant amount of liquids, (particularly water) even before one feels thirsty is recommended to eliminate the threat of dehydration.
  • Always wear a breathable  hat or stand under an umbrella or any closed shelter to avoid direct exposure to the sun.

  • Always limit the amount of time you stand in the sun (especially from midday up to sunset)
