Over the years, Nyanga, a district located in the Manicaland
Province of Zimbabwe has gained traction from both local and international
tourists.
Nyanga is a place for nature lovers, hikers and adventure seekers
and is home to the only skywalk in Zimbabwe and what is considered to be one of
the highest ziplines in the world at Mtarazi falls.
The place offers a variety of activities to visitors from fishing
to golfing and mountain hikes.
Housing the Nyanga National Park which is one of the first national
parks to be declared in the country, Nyanga is one of the many eventful tourism
destinations in Zimbabwe.
The park is known for a variety of wildlife such as the
gnu/wildebeests, the zebras, the kudus, the waterbucks, the reedbucks, the blue
duikers, the Samango monkeys and the klipspringers.
The Mtarazi Falls, inside Nyanga National Park, are the highest
waterfalls in the country, cascading about 760 metres (2,490 ft), from top to
bottom, and have been one of the many reasons drawing locals and internationals
to the place.
The skyline at the falls is a 400-meter-long zipline across the
face of the Mutarazi Falls.
The excitement and adrenalin rush that Mtarazi has to offer is one
not to miss for adrenalin lovers.
At Mount Nyangani, which is also situated in Nyanga, hikers are in
for a treat Mount Nyangani hike which is the highest peak in Zimbabwe at 2593
metres.
The mountains are an irresistible adventure spot coupled with
well-documented stories of mysterious disappearances and mythical sightings in
and around the mountain.
