Charama Safari Lodge

Charama Safari Lodge at Eiffel Flats, Kadoma, is part of Muraga Wilderness Conservation, and has breathtaking landscape which hosts a wide range of wild animals and birds. Ethnic dome-shaped chalets (ensuite) situated in thick wilderness with panoramic views overlooking Lake Charama. Feel the real wild side of Africa while close to a town . Only 16km from Kadoma, the dusty 9km on gravel road seems so short as you wind in the thick forest of indigenous trees. Charama dam forms from precipitation of the nearby mountains. Breath taking views, birds watching with 52 species, horse riding, picnic site and water activities.

Charama is known for community building projects such as volunteering openings  fostered through a partnership between Green Vision Trust and Charama Leisure Resort & Conservancy. The Voluntary Tourism & Hospitality and Anti-Poaching Patrol Program at Charama Tourism Leisure & Conservancy in Kadoma, Zimbabwe can boost your tourism & wildlife experience. If you are not employed or a student looking forward to working in tourism and wildlife, this is something that can boost your CV as we are a recognized Tourism & Anti-Poaching institution.

This program, which will be in the form of camping in Charama Conservancy, is open to everyone above 18 years old who is passionate about wildlife and tourism. Our volunteer program is tailored for those who look forward to entering into either tourism or wildlife fields. They also  offer mentorship and on the job training.

After the program, selected ecologists, recruits and foresters will have the opportunity to join patrols, assist with security, boost the team size and share their wildlife passion through antipoaching crusades. Above all, we will link our volunteers to various Safaris and Estates.

Reviews from guests

Peggy

"Beautiful place, 30 minutes 4x4 driving from Kadoma. We arrived here by coincidence, just looking for an original place to spend the night on our trip from South to North Zimbabwe. The owners, Sam and Farai, gave us a very warm welcome and a fridge full of cold beers did the rest. The next morning we saw the true beauty of the place, including the lake. Too bad we lacked the skills to catch some fish."

Josh

"Great get away for families, couples or friends. Worth a visit if you are in Zimbabwe. Highly recommend it! Thank you. It is about 20 minutes drive from Kadoma - look out for the signs on the way. Bird watchers will find a few hidden treasures too!"
