Ruckomechi

Ruckomechi, one of Mana Pools' original sites, has been exciting visitors for more than 20 years. Under the Ana trees, which the local elephants like for their nourishing seeds, are ten roomy and exquisitely designed ensuites, including two family units. The serene earth tones of the interiors have a tinge of blue that reflects the river.

It more recent and smaller sibling property, Little Rukomechi, is located a few kilometers downstream. It is the ideal location for small parties, families, or couples who seek an intimate safari experience because there are just four chic rooms there.

The main part of the camp features a bonfire for reflection or story-telling under starry nights, a pool overlooking a wide stretch of river, an outdoor "bath with a view" in a remote, picturesque location, and the romantic Star Bed near a busy waterhole. A Ruckomechi guide described it as a "small paradise on Earth," a place where nature enthusiasts can find their spirits.
