Exploring Zimbabwe's Matebeleland South Province
The province is a gateway and corridor to most SADC economies and the busiest inland port of entry in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Matebeleland South province is found southwest of Zimbabwe ,it is divided into Seven districts ,Beitbridge ,Bulilima ,Insiza ,Mangwe , Matopos ,Umzingwane and Gwanda which is the Provinces Capital.
When you are in Matebeleland South you can visit the following places ,Cecil John Rhodes Grave ,Zhilobhoshrine ,King Mzilikazi grave,Dula Shrine ,Chipise Hotsprings , Njelele cultural shrine,Lumene falls ,Lusvingo ruins ,Matshatshana falls ,Regina ruins , Diana's pools, Nkankezi Ruins ,Danan'ombe Ruins,Dlodlo Ruins a,The Matopos world's view and Matopos National park which has the largest concentration of leopards and is home to the endangered white Rhino.
It's uniqueness is consists of It's diversity when is comes to languages spoken in the province which are , Venda, Ndebele, Sotho,Kalanga ,San ,Shangani and Xhosa.
Twice every year people go to Matebeleland South to harvest Mopani worms also known as Amacimbi or Madora ,they are found in all districts.
