Found along the Zambezi River ,the Batonga people are known as a Minority language speaking tribe , however their culture will leave you intrigued.
Having been forced to move from the shores of the Zambezi River in the late 1950's during the time when Kariba dam was built, one thing I admire about them is how the still managed to preserve their culture.
The Museum showcases the traditional BaTonga lifestyle, sciences, beliefs hobbies and crafts which include Pottery,Carvings ,Baskets and Mats, as well as the story of the mighty River God the Nyami Nyami.
While visiting the museum, you can also visit the Beach in Binga.
