Declared a UNESCO world heritage site together with Mana Pools National park and the Sapi.The area has cultural qualities, magnificent views and outstanding Natural beauty.
The area is home to different type of animals like Elephants, Cheetah, Leopards, Buffalo,Zebra ,lions and Hyenas. Fishing can also be done in the Zambezi River ,types of fish include Tigerfish, Bream , Cornish sports and Bottlenose just to mention a few.
South of Chewore Safari Area trackways of fossil footprints of Canivorous dinosaurs suspected to be a million years old were discovered in a river bed.
