Attend a Festival

In Africa, there are thousands of ethnic groups, each celebrating their passage rituals, religious festivals, and local harvests, but it's not always straightforward to gain entry or to know what's going on when, as a visitor and an outsider. Fortunately, there are many major annual festivals and cultural activities where you can enjoy movies, poetry, drama, and music in an organized atmosphere.  Zimbabwe is host to a plethora of enjoyable feats such as the Bulawayo Music Festival (Bulawayo), Carnival  (Victoria Falls), Shoko festival (Harare) , HIFA (Harare), Jikinya Dance Festival and many alike.

  Bungee Jumping

How does dropping 111 meters down the world's largest waterfall for a start sound? Check the edge of anxiety and indulge in a heart-thumping free-fall that may be the longest four seconds of your life. You can bungee off a bridge at Victoria Falls, swim up to the edge of the highest waterfall in the world, or white-water raft down some of the wildest rapids on earth.

Fishing

Kariba, Zimbabwe! This is the place to try it if you're into your fishing, otherwise swing in a hammock, pop open a beer, and take in the sights, sounds, and smells of sub-Saharan Africa at their best! Or try the World’s first freshwater park (according to UNESCO), Lake Malawi National Park. There are more tropical fish in the lake than any lake in the world — 1,300 species. Talk of variety!

Horseback riding

A prevalent nomination on our bucket-list is horse-back riding. Gallop through the great expanses, and ride near the glorious lions, elephants slinking, and buffalo grazing. As the wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes lope around you. Feel at the edge and relish the element of excitement in Hwange, Victoria Falls, Snake Park -to mention but a few.

Eat!

Last Last! Be sure to try the local Zimbabwean delicacies (this tip is not limited to the confines of Zimbabwe – regardless of the country you visit). Most culinary tours include shopping for ingredients at local markets, studying local recipes, and mastering techniques, and, of course, a reasonable amount of wine sampling and dining in fine restaurants. From cuisines found in upscale restaurant to the local gango, you are guaranteed an eye-opening mouth-watering experience that will never be forgotten.
