Appreciating Local Art : Matobo Hills
Zimbabwe is one of the few places to see the best rock paintings in Southern Africa and the world at large. Boasting of the Matobo Hills which has earned a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list as of 2003.

The unique and articulate account of historical findings crafted to rock must watch as they depict a figurative art which was rater unknown nor unexpected from hunter gatherer communities. With an effervescent and rich cultural background linkage, the Hills are a remarkable sight that was home to the Kalanga tribe.
Access
From Bulawayo .Take Robert Mugabe way in the city center which continues for 30 kilometers south to the Matobo park boundary .A single lane road continues to Maleme Dam. The rest of the road from then on is either gravel or road but suitable for most vehicles. The Park is also accessible from Gwanda by taking the Thuli- Makwe road which is close to Kezi and taking a Northward turn on the Kezi-Bulawayo highway.
